The One Ball, and What's Underneath It
This month I competed at Aorangi Park, Wimbledon. What stayed with me most wasn't the winning or losing, it was watching one ball. Just one ball. For those moments, nothing else exists. No performing, no managing, just complete presence.
That kind of presence takes a body that's actually able to show up. And that's where many of us are guessing.
You eat well. You take your supplements. You do the things you're "supposed" to do. But eating well and absorbing well aren't the same thing. Two people can follow near-identical diets and get very different results, because absorption varies from person to person. That gap, between what you eat and what your body takes up, is usually invisible.
A small piece of technology called Prysm iO is starting to change that. In fifteen seconds, with a finger placed on the pocket-sized device, it scores a key biomarker of nutrient absorption, an indication of your antioxidant status. No blood, no needles. It's not diagnostic and doesn't replace your GP or a nutritionist, but it gives you a personal baseline, so you can track meaningful change over time. Trend over perfection, you compete only with yourself.
For a Healthy Home, that's the real question, not are we eating well, but is it landing? For anyone in wellbeing, health, fitness or beauty, it's also a fast, non-invasive way to open a real conversation with a client, something to show them rather than just tell them.
Prysm iO sits behind a company with real scientific weight, dedicated research centres, a Scientific Advisory Board of PhD-level experts, and research partnerships with institutions including Stanford University. It's part of a wider shift too, with biometrics, DNA, microbiome and wearable data becoming available to connect and build a fuller picture of health over time.
The small scanner is already available in Europe and the UK. For the Algarve, a region that already takes health seriously, this feels like a genuine opportunity to get ahead of the curve.
Curious whether it's for you, personally or in your business? I'd love to talk it through!
