How to Clean Your Body

Eliminating toxic build-up

To clear out decades of accumulated plastics and petrochemicals, we have to do two things: stop new toxins from entering the body and give your natural elimination systems—the liver, kidneys, gut, and skin—exactly what they need to scrub the system clean.
Here is a direct, natural, and highly effective approach to detoxifying your body:

1. Stop the Inflow and Clean Your Food

You cannot clean a house while walking through it with muddy boots. The first step is to switch to fresh, organic food wherever possible, stored in glass or stainless steel rather than plastic.

Proper food preparation is vital to ensure you aren't adding new agricultural chemicals or residues to your toxic load. When you bring fresh produce home, soak it in a bowl of water with a good splash of apple cider vinegar and a spoonful of bicarbonate of soda. Alternatively, running an ozone generator in your vegetable wash water is an incredibly effective way to neutralise surface pesticides and completely cleanse your food before eating.

2. Deep Cellular Hydration

Your kidneys are your body’s primary filtration system for water-soluble toxins, but they cannot function on dry land. The body's many cries for water are real, and chronic dehydration forces the body to hold onto waste. Drinking plenty of clean, filtered water daily is the most fundamental step to flushing out the chemical byproducts your liver is trying to process.

3. Feed the Liver's Detox Pathways

Your liver is the engine of detoxification. It breaks down harmful chemicals like BPA (from plastics) and petrochemicals (from Vaseline and cosmetics) through a two-step process. To complete this process safely, the liver requires specific nutrients, especially sulphur.

Without enough sulphur, the liver can partially break down a chemical, making it even more reactive and dangerous. To support this, you need to eat plenty of sulphur-rich foods:
  • Cruciferous vegetables: Broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, and kale.
  • Alliums: Garlic and onions.
  • High-quality proteins: Organic eggs and grass-fed meats contain amino acids essential for binding to toxins and carrying them out of the body.

4. Sweat Out the Plastics

While the liver and kidneys do the heavy lifting, your skin is your largest elimination organ. Studies have shown that certain chemicals—specifically BPA and phthalates from plastics—are highly concentrated in human sweat. Regular exercise that gets you sweating heavily, or using an infrared sauna, forces these stored petrochemicals out of your tissues and through your pores. Just be sure to shower immediately afterwards so your skin doesn't reabsorb them.

5. Test, Don't Guess

If you are prepared to take action and want to know exactly what you are dealing with, it is best not to guess. Science-backed laboratory tools like Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) are brilliant for this. A simple hair test can reveal a clear picture of your cellular health, showing exactly which minerals are depleted and what hidden toxins are currently stored in your body's tissues.
